Fitchburg High School Reviews

My son is a freshman this year (04) and he had absolutely no problems adjusting to this HUGE school! He has great teachers and lots of friends. I've been able to meet each one of them (teachers) and they seem genuinely interested in each of their students. The sports program is very visible, but I can tell you that much more emphasis is placed on academics. There are restrictions on being able to qualify to play any sport, based on grades. The staff seem very willing to work any issue out with the parents. The building is pretty new (I think it was built in 1999-2000) and the campus is very big, but the students do not seem to get lost in the shuffle. They even have time to finish their lunch, which is a big change from their previous middle school experience!

Fitchburg High School is one of the best school to attend if you play sports. When the word Academics come into terms, the school do poorly which you can tell by the test scores. Every year new teachers come in and most of the time they have no idea on what to do or how to teach due to lack of experience. There is no trust between the students and the school's staff. You can tell by a police being hire to walk around the building and school hallway patroler which stalk you and give you a rough time even if your just walking to the bathroom during class. It could be a great experience if your an athlete but if not dont bother going to Fitchburg High School
