Oakmont Regional High School Reviews

Oakmont now has lower athletic fees, and is still one of the best for academics. Helpful, friendly attitude by teachers and staff.

oakmont is a great school system ive love going to school there. also there athletics and after school activities are outstanding. after school acticities allow students to do more after school keeping them out of trouble. are teachers dont hand us the work they help us. but the dont do it for us.

Oakmont really is a great place to learn. Not only are the classes and programs excellent, but the teachers are great as well. They drive you to better yourself and, for the most part, they're very willing to go that extra step to help students. I've also felt 100% safe every single day. I'm almost sad that I'll be leaving for college next year. They say that high school can be the best four years of your life.. and that's true when you're talking about Oakmont. Spartan Pride.

Oakmont is a great place to go to School

for the most part if your an honor student youll be worked hard and prepared for college very well and if your in sped you get alot of help with your stuff but the school lacks funding but the sports are all doing well and the mcas scores are going up

Overall this school has been a great disappointment; I've not found much creativity or innovation in teaching methodology. This is a place where your child may learn (or be required to learn) many facts, but, is unlikely to learn how to problem solve, question or think for him/herself. The Oakmont 'culture' is not one which seems to value, appreciate or even tolerate differences. If you're looking for an environment which will ignite or fuel a thirst for learning in your child, I think you're unlikely to find it here unless Art is your child's passion. The Art Department is one of the very best; even students who've never been excited by Art before, will get excited about it once they cross the threshold.

'My son attends Oakmont RHS under the State's school choice program. My wife and I are more than pleased 'ecstatic/happy' that our son is able to attend such a quality school. There are so many positives about this school I can't begin to address them all. The curriculum is top notch, the principal, administration, superintendent, guidance, teachers, athletic department, band/music department, extra-curricular programs, are all on the same page and work hard with the kids 'daily' to make Oakmont such a great place to attend High School. 'The residents'(Westminster/Ashburnham) are the most supportive I've ever seen/been a part of. There are so many parents and faculty involved with all the kids and the school system, they practically fall over one another getting involved...truly amazing people. My son enjoys his classes, teachers, day to day activities, the positive atmosphere. It is what the HS experience is supposed to be!'

Oakmont is an excellent place for kids to attend high school. The teachers are bery involved with their students and truly care about how each and every one of them is doing in the classroom. Despite it's reputatin for athletic fees and budget cuts, Oakmont is the only school I would every dream of sending my child to.
