The Bootlegger is one of my favorite restaurants in all towns and cities around Lunenburg. Every week we go with friends and have the best service, tastiest and fresh food. The staff is very happy to serve you and in fact, are very friendly and personable.
Anyone who says differently must not be very outgoing. Allan greets his customers and makes them all feel special.
Go, eat, drink and be merry. You'll keep going back!
Great food and service at a great price!!!!!!!

It is just amazing that when you read comments from people....they are mostly bad. I wish that everyone who has had a wonderful time at any place should take the time and comment about it. But......the hard to please somehow love to cause a stink and want to stand up and be noticed.
I am a very hard person to please, and I do not like posting comments!!!! But when you read other comments from someone who keeps going back, but is unhappy.....It just makes me believe that he is the one that has the problem. I have been to many places to eat in my life. I have been to the Bootlegger dozens of time and I have never had a problem with the food or the staff. I love to go there. You must have to be a real moron to think that any food is not somehow pre cooked at any place you eat. But, I did "on a few occasions" eat at some of those 5 Star places that made your food while you sat there for an hour. Glasses of wine were $15.00 each and a two party bill came to over $150.00 not counting the gratuity. A two party bill at the Bootlegger costs me around $70.00 and the food its there in about 20 minutes. It takes great and I am a very happy customer. It just sounds to me that the moron wants 5 Star service at a fast food price. Grow up guy and find a place that makes you 100% satisfied and leave a good comment for them......if you can!!!!!
average fare, good drinks but expensive

Get out your credit card. We visited the Bootegger on several events...And we keep wondering why we come back, No one is personal, you feel unwanted. The food is just average mostly pre cooked products...Too bad it could be a nice spot for home cooked foods. $11 for Linguini Aglio Olio with a salad, way to many meals priced over $20.00, and $8 for a glass of wine? Try to find a restaurant with homemade foods at reasonable prices...
Pros: Old Ragtime Atmosphere, nice booths
Cons: Just Average food, and way to much $$$
